Clinical Observation on rectal Prolapse

Abstract
|
|
|
A clinical observation was made on 78 cases of rectal prolapse at Capital Armed Forces General
Hospital during the past 10 years from Jan. 1963 to June 1972.
1. Corrective operation for the Rectal Prolapse was carried out on 78 cases.
2. Of 78 cases of rectal prolapse, Rehn-Delorme operation was carried out on 17 cases with recur
rence in 5 cases and abdominal resection of sigmoid colon was carried out on 8 cases with recurrence
in 2 cases.
3. Orr´s operation was carried out on 47 cases recurrence with recurrence in 7 cases.
4. The result of the Orr´s operation in our hands has been largely satisfactory even though the
follow up period was not long enough. (about 2 years).
